12th April 2008 Windsurfing: Hove Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F4 Surf / Sea State: Chest high swell Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Hove for me with jon and bash and 3 others later. I arrived just after the 12:45 rain cloud, but time was short so rigged big with 5.5m on RWW 83 ltr. Planed ok but needed a pump or ten here and there. Sluice from hell on the inside that never really went away, making down wind riding a bit of a challenge. Still, got the odd swoop or two on chest high lumps of swell. Quite pleasing at times. Wind picked up nicely and the board, fin and sail combo was simply overwhelmed so full switch to 5m on proper wave board. Sweet half hour then before it swung off shore and switched off. perfect timing to save my skin back at my house! |
